Picking & validation

Pick it right, the first time.

Pickers work every order on a phone or iPad, grouped by zone in bin walk order. Exceptions take one swipe, and every order is validated before it leaves.

One wrong item means a refund, an upset chef and a driver going back.

Paper pick lists, shorts nobody mentions, receipts in someone’s pocket.

Big orders hold up one picker while others wait.

How it works

Pick it right, the first time.

Step 1

Every bin, in order

Orders open grouped by zone (dry, fridge, frozen) in bin walk order. Each line shows the bin, the item number and the UPC.

Picking by zone with shorts, replacements and catch weight
Step 2

Double-tap. Swipe for the rest.

Double-tap to pick the full quantity, tap to set a different amount, or swipe to short, mark out of stock or substitute. Picked items fold away; problems stay on top.

Step 3

Pick as a team

Split a big order across pickers by zone. If someone gets stuck, another picker can claim the order. Managers watch progress live.

Step 4

Validated before it leaves

Scan each item or flag anything that doesn’t match, photograph the receipt, and mark the order loaded with a photo of the vehicle.

Validation by unit before the order leaves
Step 5

The customer hears about changes

When an item is shorted or replaced, the customer gets a text about it.

FAQ

Questions

Phone or iPad?

Both. The same screens work on a phone and on an iPad.

Can several people pick one order?

Yes. Big orders can be split across pickers by zone, and another picker can claim an order that got stuck.

What happens when an item is short?

The picker swipes to short it, the line stays on top until it’s handled, and the customer gets a text about the change.

How do managers see progress?
